Climate in Tanzania and Zanzibar

Tanzania and Zanzibar lie in the tropics, just south of the equator and enjoy a fairly regular pattern of wonderful climatic conditions, with temperatures ranging from mid 20's in the cool season (June/July) to mid 30's in hottest time of year (Dec - Feb).

May to October it is the dry season. The 'short rains' start mid November until the end of December. January and February are normally dry and hot. The 'long rains' follow in March and April.
